最後に事務所のベランダとハーブ園の人工芝を敷く。
全て敷き終わったら防草シートも人工芝もジャストで終わった。
足りなくもない。余ってもいない。

畑に使った防鳥網やきゅうりの網、
トマトのビニールやキャベツのトンネルの網を干して乾かし、
人工芝や防草シートが終わった時に出てきた紙の筒に巻き取る。
これもピッタリで嬉しかった。
ピッタリと言えば不思議なことがあった。
蔵の電気工事で、2階の電気のスイッチをどこにしておきますか？と聞かれて、
その時には頭の中の考えごとが忙しく、
無意識に「ここから真上に伸ばした辺りに適当にお願いします」と答えたのだ。
結果、昔の階段からはぐるりと回った遠い位置になり、そのことを悔やんでいた。

それが今回の階段工事をしてみたら、

そういえば…と思い出したことがある
私は多動性だし、中学に入っても休みがちで、
成績も悪く、自己中で我儘だったために、
人と群れるのが極端に苦手だった。

苦手でも楽しそうに男子と話せる女子のことは羨ましかった。
良いなぁと思いながらも泣いたり怒ったりすると止まらない、
天然パーマの太った変人の女の子だった。
そんな中、ギターの練習を通して家に呼んでくれた女の子がいた。
その子の話術、性格の良さ、人当たりの柔らかさ、笑顔の美しさと言ったら天下一品で、いつもぴかぴかに光っていた。
高校生の頃はその子が踊る美しい姿が見たくて、
放課後になると体育館に眺めに行っていた。
ギターの仲間は自然に集まって、
いつのまにか解散していったけど、
みんなで過ごす時間が楽しくて嬉しかったなぁ。

あの頃、みんなに代わる代わるいろんなアーティストを教えてもらった。
さだまさし、風、かぐや姫、NSP、井上陽水、アリス。懐かしい…
洋楽やエレキギターの世界を教えてくれた子もいたっけ＾＾
男の子達も歌が上手だった。
今でもみんな弾いたり歌ったりしているかしら？
などと思いながら鼻歌で農作業をしていた。
